It’s official—Grandma is being discharged from rehab on Thursday! She’s heading home, and we couldn’t be more excited for her! ๐กโค๏ธ
She will be going home with a walker instead of her rollator. Due to her limited mobility, Physical Therapy wants her to use a walker because it gives her more control over her movements. They feel a rollator moves too fast for her right now.
Of course, Grandma never wanted to use a walker. It was a huge step just getting her to use a rollator in the first place! After she broke her pelvis a few years ago, she made a promise to Desiree that she would always use her rollator—and that promise is the only reason she’s continued to use it all these years. But now, safety first, and we’ll be making sure she has exactly what she needs. I guess I’m on a mission to find her a snazzy red walker! ๐ดโจ
If you have a moment, stop by and visit Grandma at home after Friday! She loves her people, and your visits bring her so much joy. โค๏ธ
